DECLARATION ON CULTURAL CHANGE CODE
from the site of Giovanna Melandri :
"This is good news that the government has finally agreed to amend the Code of the most dangerous part of the cultural heritage and landscape. Overall, however, Feedback on the Code still remains negative, because it still represents a loosening showy protection rules.
The most important result is without doubt that the cancellation under the shameful silence gives consent, which in the past five years has been constantly running the risk that the State svendesse public goods of high historical value, artistic and cultural pride of our country, mortifying the role of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture. Today, the government had to undo, and only partially, the general approach that has characterized his initiative for the entire term.
This code change is primarily the result of tenacious and stubborn battles of protection associations, as well as the parliamentary opposition, which denounced tirelessly the dangers of silence gives consent, and the solution that has been reached today was torn with effort and Cesarini area in a government that has literally abused our historical and artistic heritage.
